Every builder and renovator markets...some just don't know it, and most don't use it to their ultimate potential -- that is, actually making money (not just spending money) by employing effective and profitable marketing. Why do so many builders and renovators treat Yellow Pages, Newspaper ads, on-site signs, brochures, websites, and even business cards like an art, not a science, spending thousands of dollars (and hours of time) with no direct and measurable effect on their bottom-line (other than just as a "marketing expense")? No other business area ignores return-on-investment so blatantly -- would you buy a new vehicle for your business just 'hoping it would work' and, if it didn't, just shrug your shoulders and throw it away?
